In this series, we will be delving into the text “أحوال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في الحج,” which translates to The conditions and the different states of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during Hajj (Pilgrimage). The author begins with mentioning proofs from the Qur’an in following the example of the Messenger ﷺ and what he commanded with. Shaykh Ahmad highlights that the importance of learning about the condition of the Messenger ﷺ during his pilgrimage is just as important as learning the rules and regulations. An important aspect that is spotlighted while learning about the Messenger’s Hajj ﷺ is how to deal with and take care of people in a situation that is unprecedented. During the pilgrimage, there were Muslims who accompanied him, some of whom had never met him before this event. Moreover, it provided an opportunity for his wives and many physically weak individuals in his family to join him on this journey.The ultimate intent behind studying this book is to hopefully allow us to emulate his example ﷺ when we are given the opportunity to perform the Hajj.
