shirk??? thats an extreme veiw..i say that in tashahud but i dont worship the prophet and dont expect the prophet to help me in this life apart form what he has already taught us..bilal is abit too extreme he even said nauzubillah the prophets s.a.w parents will go to hell??????no one knows for sure who will go to hell apart from allah how can you say such a thing astaghfirullah

With regard to the report narrated in Saheeh al-Bukhaari from â€˜Abd-Allaah ibn Masâ€™ood, which says that after the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) passed away they used to say â€œal-salaamu â€˜ala al-nabi wa rahmat-Allaahi wa barakaatuhu (peace be upon the Prophet and the mercy and blessings of Allaah)â€ â€“ this was the ijtihaad of Ibn Masâ€™ood (may Allaah be pleased with him), which differed from that of one who was more knowledgeable than him, namely â€˜Umar ibn al-Khattaab, for he addressed the people from the minbar of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said in the tashahhud: â€œal-salaamu â€˜alayka ayyhuâ€™l-nabiyyu wa rahmat-Allaah (peace be upon you, O Prophet and the mercy of Allaah)â€, as was narrated by Maalik in al-Muwattaâ€™ with the soundest of isnaads. â€˜Umar said this in the presence of the Sahaabah and they approved of it.

@jamal22 The prophet (s.a.w) said to a man who was upset about his father dying on dibelief and if he could pray for him, the prophet (s.a.w) advised him that he couldn’t, seeing the man walking away upset he told him that both of their fathers are in the Hell fire.

Also Allah (swt) himself has stated that he will forgive every other sin except Shirk (associating partners with him)

We should practise and understand Islaam in the way our Salaf understood it. After Prophet’s death, Ibn Mas’ood says, WE used to say not I BUT WE. That’s we say its not just his view but its the Ijmaa’ of the Sahaabah. Therefore it becomes a part of Islaam hence can’t be ignored.
