Ather Khan gives us an interesting and enlightening talk, on how the 2nd caliph: Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Islam, and a little bit more about this great caliph. This caliph was about 10 years younger than prophet, and his son said that Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), was a tall man. He used to over tall people in height, and had a strong physique, and was one of the person’s at his time who could read and write.
