Assalam’kum. Yes this is right. It’s innovation. We have to follow the Quran & hadiths of the Prophet(SAW)only. Allah has sent the Prophet(SAW) as an example to follow.

some arabs think that they know better Islam, than others muslims.
Mawlid was celebrated in Pakistan (200 millions), Moroco, Libiya and many others contries.

I live in Pakistan and I’m fed up with such innovations. They want to just have fun and thats all, at least that’s thats what I saw today but in the name of religion it’s bad too bad.Pure innovation

Mawlid(Birthday of the prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) should NOT be celebrated because it is Bidah(innovation). Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) never celebrated his own Birthday, neiher did his companions and the tabi’ins and the scholars(peace be upon him) Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) said: ‘Who add something to the religion will have it rejected’. So dear my brothers and sisters we should fear Allah and follow the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. May Allah Guide us All. Ameen
